Marnie’s Book Club – What If We Get It Right?

What If We Get It Right? by Ayana Elizabeth Johnson is a book about climate solutions. And no, it’s not a toxic positivity or sickly optimism book – it’s a book about the real solutions, the ones we already know about, and it’s a curation of voices exploring the question: What if we get this climate thing right?
I read this book with friends in fall/winter 2024-2025, and now I’m ready to do it again. Will you join me in reading WIWGIR?, discussing climate solutions, and taking accessible action with accountability?

We will:
– Read the whole book (with key chapters noted ahead of time)
– Discuss key themes
– Reflect on our climate action superpowers
– Hear from a climate solution expert
– Make realistic goals for climate action between meetings
– Create a community of climate-solution-curious folks who want to connect with each other!

We’ll meet 4 times, all Sunday evenings (EST):
– September 21
– October 12
– November 2
– November 23

Each meeting will be 1.5 hours – we’ll check in and chat, discuss what we read, and then set some goals for the next few weeks.
I’ll send out an email about a week before each meeting with what to expect, along with a follow-up in the days following each meeting with some notes, reflections, and reminders.
Sound good? I’d love to see you register here on Eventbrite!

Can’t wait to read with ya!
